Space has typically been the domain of governments; however, innovative commercial technologies have economically lowered the barrier to make space accessible. This advancement is only the beginning, as competitive launch costs will lead to the creation of additional space infrastructure and spur innovation in other areas such as manufacturing in space, space tourism, on-orbit servicing, and eventually, space colonization.
